Greater Knoxville Area Interclub Swimming Association
The GKAISA organization is a summer swim league that encourages children to participate regardless of their skill level. It is the mission of GKAISA to provide an opportunity for swimmers 18 years old and younger, to develop a passion for the sport of swimming while gaining swimming skills and learning the principles of team work and sportsmanship. GKAISA provides an organized framework in which coaches, competitors, parents and league officials can operate with courtesy, sportsmanship, and good will.
Coaches are required to complete all training prior to June 1 in order to be a GKAISA coach and have deck access at the Championship Meet. Those who have met the requirement are listed on the spreadsheet in red at the Training tab: Coaches Training. Info about late certifications also stated under Coaches Training.
Each parent and athlete are required to read and sign the Parent-Athlete Concussion Awareness document found under Documents. It should be turned into your team and kept by the team for three years.
For technical support, go to Training and choose Website & Meet Management. There are several self-help options. Robin Barré (Whittington Creek parent) is also available to provide technical support for the new website and meet management program. Her contact info is: firstname.lastname@example.org 865-310-3906. You may also contact Rich Waldis (website creator) at Rich@swim-team.us 678-592-9639
PREVENT CHILD ABUSE
